Program of the 2025 Children's Book Fair

Social Justice Children’s Book Fair

Join me at the 8th Annual Social Justice Children’s Book Fair, Dec 7th, 12pm-3pm  at Emerson Elementary in Oakland. Come say hello and bring a friend!

The Social Justice Children’s Book Fair is dedicated to sharing kid’s books featuring BIPOC, Queer, and social justice-minded stories from the Bay Area and highlighting organizations doing work around literacy and storytelling.

This is a chance to meet local indie children’s book authors, get books signed, and do all of your holiday shopping in one place!

Pride at Castro Valley Library

Colorful Rainbow sign that says, "Pride Storytime, Story Walk, and Dance Party!"

Castro Valley Library, Saturday, June 1, 1-2:30 pm

I am so honored that Castro Valley Library is making a Just. Like. You. Story Walk* for Pride Month. To kick things off, we’ll walk the Story Walk, have a Storytime, and then put on our dancing shoes for the PRIDE DANCE PARTY! You don’t want to miss the fun.

*To create a Story Walk, pages from a picture book are put on signs and placed along a path or trail. Children and their families can then walk along the path and read the story, step-by-step and page-by-page!

Heading to the Kentucky Book Festival, Y’all! October 21, 2023

If you’re in the area, you don’t want to miss the Kentucky Book Festival. So many authors will be there. I’ll be in the Children’s Tent with a great group of creators. And I’ll be doing a Just. Like. You. storytime at 10am. I grew up in Lexington, KY, going to the bookstore this festival is in, so it will be a special treat to come full circle and celebrate there.
