I’m so thrilled to be doing a storytime as the opener to a concert by the Grammy-Award-winning group the ALPHABET ROCKERS! Their music and Just. Like. You. share messages of acceptance, joy, and social awareness. It’s going to be fun, y’all! The event will be held at the Harvey Milk Memorial Branch of San Francisco Public Library right in the middle of the Castro.

I am so thrilled to be headed to Oakland’s Children’s Fairyland for their Children’s Book Festival. There will be so many wonderful local creators, you won’t want to miss it!

I’m thrilled to be able to take this show on the road and see old friends and make new friends in Lexington, KY — my hometown — and Portland, OR! I’ll be at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, where I spent a lot of time as a young person. It’s an amazing, huge indie bookstore with something for everyone. And then, in May I’m off to Portland, OR for my son’s college graduation and a storytime at the famous Powell’s City of Books, the largest used and new bookstore in the world!

I am so excited to share that Just. Like. You. came out on December 6, 2022. On that day, I went to two bookstores with my dear friend Angela to see it on the shelves. Seeing the book in the bookstores definitely made it real. And, of course since it was a birthday — there had to be cake!

POW! Kids has sent out a press release for JUST. LIKE. YOU (screen shot of the top half is below)! And the book will be out in December. They even have an actual copy of the real book, which you can see on Instagram. I am very excited!

I’m excited that my debut picture book with illustrator Avneet Sandhu, JUST. LIKE. YOU. was announced in Publisher’s Weekly Fall 2021 Children’s Announcement, you can find it in under the publisher’s name: PowerHouse/Pow, or see below. Also, of course the book is available for preorder.

I am beyond thrilled to announce that JUST. LIKE. YOU. my debut picture book with illustrator Avneet Sandhu, is coming out this fall with POW! Kids Books. More updates soon…
